Terms of Use

Last updated: July 1, 2026

1. Nature of the service

Safety Data Sheet ("the Service") is a search engine that republishes public chemical data sourced from third parties (including PubChem/NIH, ECHA, OSHA, GESTIS) and provides computational tools and AI-generated summaries. The Service is intended for trained professionals (chemists, laboratory technicians, HSE officers, students under supervision). It is not intended for the general public and not for use by minors.

2. Not a Safety Data Sheet

Information displayed on the Service does not constitute a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) within the meaning of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) or 29 CFR 1910.1200 (OSHA HazCom). You must always consult the official SDS provided by the manufacturer or supplier of the actual product you handle before any storage, use, transport or disposal. Compositions, additives, stabilizers and concentrations vary between suppliers and may materially change the applicable hazards.

3. "As is" · No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Chemical properties, GHS classifications, hazard statements, transport codes and regulatory information may be incomplete, outdated or contain errors. AI-generated content may hallucinate or misinterpret sources.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Safety Data Sheet, its operators, contributors and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, the Service. This includes without limitation: personal injury, property damage, chemical incidents, fires, explosions, regulatory non-compliance, fines, business interruption, loss of data, or loss of profits, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. You bear full and exclusive responsibility for any decision made or action taken on the basis of the Service.

5. No medical, legal or regulatory advice

Nothing on the Service constitutes medical advice, first-aid instruction, legal opinion or regulatory compliance advice. In case of exposure, poisoning or accident, contact your local emergency services and poison control center immediately.

6. Free tools

Dilution calculators, unit converters, GHS label generators, compatibility checkers and any other tools produce indicative results only. They do not replace a formal risk assessment, and the labels they generate are not valid as regulatory CLP/GHS labelling.

7. AI features

The AI chat is a language model that may produce incorrect, incomplete or fabricated answers. Do not rely on it for emergency response, medical treatment, dosage, storage decisions in real accidents, or regulatory filings.

8. Third-party data

Chemical data is aggregated from PubChem (public domain, NIH/NLM), ECHA, OSHA, GESTIS and other public sources. GHS pictograms are published by the United Nations (public domain). We are not the author of the underlying data and cannot guarantee that our extraction matches the current version of the upstream source. You must verify critical information directly at the source.

9. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to plan, facilitate or execute any illegal activity, including the manufacture of explosives, chemical weapons, illicit drugs, or any substance intended to harm people, animals or the environment. Automated scraping, resale or redistribution of the Service's content without permission is prohibited.

10. Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply.

11. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
