What happens
The haloform reaction converts secondary alcohols to chloroform in the presence of hypochlorite. Chloroform is a suspected carcinogen and CNS depressant.

If contact happens
Do not disinfect surfaces with bleach and isopropanol together. Use one, rinse, then the other.
